The first international highlight of the 2023/24 Olympic season in swimming will take place in Berlin. From October 06 – 08, 2023, the German capital will host the first stop of the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup.
Berlin has a long tradition as a World Cup venue, no other metropolis has hosted this top-class event more often. Hosting it on the 50m track this time will allow all participants in Berlin to meet the norm times set by the World Federation for the Olympic Games in Paris (FRA/26 July – 11 August 2024) and the World Championships in Doha (QAT/02 – 18 February 2024). The local athletes also want to use the home advantage in Germany’s fastest pool and get the necessary momentum for the Olympic season.
The 2023 World Aquatics Swimming World Cup consists of three competitions and is generally regarded as one of the world’s most high-profile competition series in swimming. International top stars compete for their nations for placings, prize money, and the title of World Cup winner.
