Coaches Clinic mit Kanadas Erfolgscoach Ben Titley

Hundreds of athletes from 56 countries will come to Berlin for the FINA Swimming World Cups 2022. But not only 13 Olympic champions and 34 world champions will be guests in the swimming and diving hall in the Europasportpark (SSE) from October 21 – 23, but also the best coaches in the world. The German Swimming Association (DSV) and FINA will not miss this opportunity and offer a Coaches Clinic with Ben Titley on the sidelines of the competitions.

The Briton is one of the most successful in his field worldwide, his athletes have already won over 300 international medals and set 500 national records. After successes in his native Great Britain, where he shaped James Gibson into a world champion in 2003, he moved to Canada after the Olympic Games 2012 in London and built up the high-performance center in Toronto there. He led the Canadian team with his protégé Penny Oleksiak to the most successful Olympic Games ever in Tokyo (JPN). In the spring of 2022, Titley then moved to the Spanish federation to pass on his expertise in the sprint and middle distances at the performance center in Barcelona.

It will certainly be more than exciting and informative to be able to discuss topics such as seasonal periodization or tapering phases with Ben Titley at the Coaches Clinic, to ask him about his most important approaches to technique training or to talk shop about the key elements of modern sprint training. In any case, fellow coaches* are cordially invited.
