High-class national and international athletes participating in the Berlin FINA Swimming World Cup Edition 2019

In approximately three weeks the FINA Swimming World Cup 2019 will finally come back to Berlin (11 – 13 October). The German capital will be leg number five out of seven in this year’s edition.

The well-known pool at the SSE in Berlin is attracting various national as well as international stars to the event. Among them the multiple overall World Cup Champion and Olympic Champion Katinka Hosszu (HUN). With Olympic Champion and World Champion Cate Campbell, the Australian Swimming Team will also send one of their greatest stars to compete at the event. Further World Champions like Ranomi Kromowidjojo (NED), Vladimir Morozov (RUS) and the new US talent Michael Andrew are joining the high-class list of SWC19 participants in Berlin.

Of course, Germany’s new World Champion Florian Wellbrock will use his chance to compete on home turf. Aliena Schmidtke, who also made the Finals at this year’s World Championships in Gwangju and trains alongside Wellbrock will enter the competition together with numerous German star athletes, e.g. Chistian Diener, Jan-Philip Glania, Angelina Köhler, Fabian Schwingenschlögl, Marius Zobel and open water swimmer Rob Muffels.
